    1) If you/your child cannot serve as indicated, please inform Caleb Royer, 785-580-5727, before Wednesday, April 12, , so that a replacement server may be found. Thank you for your cooperation.

    2) Practices for the ceremonies are scheduled as follows:
    a) For Palm Sunday: Saturday, April 8, after the 8:00 a.m. Mass;
    b) For Holy Thursday: Thursday, April 13, at 10:00 a.m.;
    c) For Good Friday: Thursday, April 13, at 1:00 p.m.;
    d) For Holy Saturday: Saturday, April 15, at 12:00 noon.

    3) No confessions will be heard before the Palm Sunday 6:30 a.m. Mass in Maple Hill.

    Please note our Holy Week schedule:

    Palm Sunday: 6:30 a.m. Sung Mass with blessing of palms and procession. Low Masses at 9:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m., and low Mass at 11:00 a.m. in Topeka (Assumption Church). Palms blessed at the Sung Mass will be available at all the low Masses.

    Monday – Wednesday: Masses as usual.

    Holy Thursday: 7:00 p.m. Sung Mass, followed by Adoration until midnight at the altar of repose.

    Good Friday (at Sacred Heart Church, Paxico/Newbury): 2:00 p.m. Stations of the Cross, followed at 3:00 p.m. by the Solemn Liturgy of Good Friday.

    Holy Saturday: 10:30 p.m. Easter Vigil followed by the Mass of the Vigil.

    Easter Sunday morning: Low Masses at 9:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m., and low Mass at 11:00 a.m. in Topeka (Assumption Church).

    Confessions will be heard before all the liturgical ceremonies except the 6:30 a.m. Sung Mass on Palm Sunday.

    This Sunday, April 2nd, St. John Vianney school will be having a bake sale and raffle after the 9am and 11am Mass! If you are able to donate baked goods, please drop them off at the school or to Rebecca Penrod. Hope to see you there!

    Please note that the practice for the altar boys (acolytes and torchbearers) originally scheduled for this Saturday, March 18th, has been cancelled.

    Visitation for Mary Gentges will be at Piper Funeral Home in St. Marys, KS, from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m on Tuesday, March 21st. The Rosary for her repose will be at 7:00 p.m. that evening at St. John Vianney Church in Maple Hill. The funeral Mass will be at the church on Wednesday, March 22nd, at 1:30 p.m. Burial will be at Mount Calvary Cemetery in St. Marys following the funeral Mass.

    Please pray for the soul of Mary Gentges, who died this morning in St. Marys. Funeral arrangements are pending. God bless you for your charity in her regard.
    Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord. And let perpetual light shine upon her. May her soul, and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.

    We now have a new temporary venue for our 11:00 a.m. Sunday Mass in Topeka while restoration of St. Joseph’s proceeds. The new venue is Assumption Church, 204 SW 8th Ave., between SW Jackson and SW Van Buren facing the state capitol. Confessions are heard before the Mass from 10:00 a.m. until 10:50 a.m.
